This Privacy Policy describes how Flowpaisa ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a safe experience while managing your personal finances.

1. Information Collection and Use

Clipboard Data

Flowpaisa includes a "Bulk Import" feature that allows you to voluntarily paste data from your system clipboard. We access the clipboard only when you explicitly trigger the "Paste" or "Import" actions.

  • Usage: This data is used locally on your device to populate transaction fields (Amount, Date, Description, etc.) for your review.
  • Storage: Once you confirm the import, the data is stored in the App's local database. It may be synced to your private Google Drive if you have enabled Cloud Backup.
  • Privacy: We do not transmit raw clipboard content to our servers or share it with third parties.

Contacts Data (android.permission.READ_CONTACTS)

Flowpaisa allows you to link financial transactions (Incomes, Expenses, Payables, and Receivables) to your existing phone contacts for easier management.

  • Local Access Only: The App reads your contact list locally on your device to allow you to select a name and phone number for a transaction.
  • No Uploading: We DO NOT upload your contacts to our servers, nor do we share them with any third parties. Your contact data stays strictly on your device.

Financial Data

All transaction data, categories, and cashbook entries you create are stored locally on your device using a secure database.

  • Backup: If you choose to use the "Cloud Backup" feature, your data is encrypted and uploaded to your own Google Drive account. We do not have access to this data.

Camera and Images

The App requests access to your camera and gallery only when you choose to scan a receipt or attach an image to a transaction. This data is processed locally for OCR (Text Recognition) and stored on your device.

Voice and Audio Data

Flowpaisa includes a "Voice Add" feature that allows you to create transactions using voice commands. We use advanced on-device smart extraction to process these commands.

  • On-Device Processing: All audio data is processed locally on your device using an offline machine learning model. We DO NOT transmit your voice recordings to our servers or any third-party cloud services.
  • Usage: Audio is converted to text and parsed to extract transaction details (Amount, Category, Contact, etc.) for your review.
  • Privacy: We do not store raw audio files. Once the text is extracted and you confirm the transaction, the audio data is discarded.

Location and Nearby Devices

Flowpaisa DO NOT collect, store, or share your precise GPS location. However, the App may request "Nearby Devices" (Bluetooth) permissions to support voice commands via wireless headsets.

  • Bluetooth Usage: This permission is used solely to detect and connect to your Bluetooth audio devices (like AirPods or other headsets) so you can use their microphones for voice commands.
  • No Location Tracking: Although the Android system may group Bluetooth permissions under "Location" or mention "relative position," we do not use these permissions to track your physical movements or location history.

2. Permissions We Request

  • Read Contacts: To link transactions to people in your phone book.
  • Camera/Storage: To scan and save receipts.
  • Microphone: To enable voice commands for adding transactions.
  • Bluetooth: To support voice commands through connected headsets (e.g., AirPods).
  • Internet: To process In-App Purchases and perform Cloud Backups to your Google Drive.
  • Billing: To manage your Premium subscription via Google Play.

3. Data Safety & Security

Flowpaisa is designed with a "Local First" philosophy. We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. Since data is stored locally, it is deleted if you uninstall the App (unless you have a manual backup on Google Drive).

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

  • Google Play Services: For App functionality and secure In-App Purchases.
  • Firebase Analytics: To help us understand app performance and fix crashes.

5. Data Deletion & Account Closure

We believe in giving you full control over your data. You can delete your information at any time using the following methods:

Local Data Deletion

To delete all financial records stored on your device, you can simply go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Flowpaisa > Storage and select "Clear Data". This will permanently remove all local transactions, categories, and cashbooks.

Cloud Data & Account Disconnection

If you have enabled Google Drive backup:

  • You can disconnect your Google Account from within the App's Settings menu.
  • To delete your backup file from Google Drive, you can manually remove the "Flowpaisa_Backup" folder from your Drive, or send a deletion request to our support email.

Request Formal Deletion

To request a formal deletion of any data associated with your account, please email us at the address below with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 7 business days.
